Hi, I’m Abby and I’m originally from Northwest Arkansas but I was born in the Maldives. For the past three years I have been apart of Youth with a Mission which is a missionary organization with the core value of knowing God and making God known. I have taken discipleship and Bible classes from this organization while also going on mission trips to Greece and Peru to serve and teach the local people about God. While being in Peru and teaching the Bible to the local churches, God revealed to me a love I had for biblical teaching and a calling I felt to walk alongside people with disciple. This is where I felt the call to pursue ministry but more specifically wanting to work within a church to serve and disciple the local community.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned from being in missions the past three years is to give space for God to lead, this means taking time to slow down and ask God what’s next. Though it’s been very challenging, and at times scary, I’ve tried to let God guide my life one thing at a time and that’s how I ended up here.

The biggest influence in my walk with God has been intentional discipleship that I received from ages 14-18. I tell everyone that this is what helped me come to know who God is as well as my identity as a child of God. And because of this I feel specifically called to discipleship and I cannot wait to walk alongside God and help make disciples of all nations within this church and this community.
