BAPTISM

Baptism is an outward profession of an inward confession. By going under the water, we symbolize the end of our former life. Coming up out of the water signifies the beginning of a new life found in Christ.

“And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’” Acts 22:16 (NIV)”

WHAT IS BAPTISM?

WHY SHOULD I GET BAPTIZED?

Baptism is a public declaration of your commitment to Jesus and a symbol of how you have been washed and made new through the sacrifice of Jesus. If you were baptized as a child but have just recently received Christ, we encourage you to make the change known by being baptized again.

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” Romans 6:4 (NIV)

Emmanuel Church celebrates baptisms during Sunday services periodically throughout the year. If you would like to be baptized, please indicate so by submitting a registration form below. We will walk you through the details once you sign up.
